Contact Photos in Mac Address Book (OS X Leopard)
File Format: any not necessarily TIFs, JPEG will do fine
Filename: yourfriends@email.address.com.tiff
i.e. steve.jobs@mac.com.tiff
Destination: ~/Library/Images/People/.
I got like 900+ contacts with pix and address book is fast enough on the new iMAC.
